بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ۝١
1

The Most Merciful

Arrahman

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۝٢
2

Taught the Qur’ān,

AAallama alqur-an

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ ۝٣
3

Created man,

Khalaqa al-insan

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ ۝٤
4

[And] taught him eloquence.

AAallamahu albayan

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ ۝٥
5

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusban

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ۝٦
6

And the stars and trees prostrate.

Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ۝٧
7

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

Wassamaa rafaAAahawawadaAAa almeezan

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ۝٨
8

That you not transgress within the balance.

Alla tatghaw fee almeezan

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ۝٩
9

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

Waaqeemoo alwazna bilqisti walatukhsiroo almeezan

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ۝١٠
10

And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

Wal-arda wadaAAahalil-anam

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ ۝١١
11

Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

Feeha fakihatun wannakhluthatu al-akmam

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ ۝١٢
12

And grain having husks and scented plants.

Walhabbu thoo alAAasfiwarrayhan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝١٣
13

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ ۝١٤
14

He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

Khalaqa al-insana min salsalinkalfakhkhar

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ ۝١٥
15

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijinmin nar

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝١٦
16

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ۝١٧
17

[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayn

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝١٨
18

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ۝١٩
19

He released the two seas, meeting [one another];

Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyan

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ ۝٢٠
20

Between them is a barrier so neither of them transgresses.

Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢١
21

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ۝٢٢
22

From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

Yakhruju minhuma allu/luo walmarjan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢٣
23

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ ۝٢٤
24

And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

Walahu aljawari almunshaatufee albahri kal-aAAlam

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢٥
25

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ ۝٢٦
26

Everyone upon it [i.e., the earth] will perish,

Kullu man AAalayha fan

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ۝٢٧
27

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thooaljalali wal-ikram

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢٨
28

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ ۝٢٩
29

Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is in [i.e., bringing about] a matter.

Yas-aluhu man fee assamawatiwal-ardi kulla yawmin huwa fee sha/n

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٠
30

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ ۝٣١
31

We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha aththaqalan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٢
32

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ ۝٣٣
33

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allāh].

Ya maAAshara aljinni wal-insiini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari assamawatiwal-ardi fanfuthoo la tanfuthoonailla bisultan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٤
34

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ۝٣٥
35

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathunmin narin wanuhasun fala tantasiran

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٦
36

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ ۝٣٧
37

And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

Fa-itha inshaqqati assamaofakanat wardatan kaddihan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٨
38

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۝٣٩
39

Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

Fayawma-ithin la yus-alu AAan thanbihiinsun wala jan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٠
40

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ ۝٤١
41

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahumfayu/khathu binnawasee wal-aqdam

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٢
42

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ۝٤٣
43

This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibubiha almujrimoon

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ ۝٤٤
44

They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameeminan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٥
45

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ ۝٤٦
46

But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

Waliman khafa maqama rabbihijannatan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٧
47

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ ۝٤٨
48

Having [spreading] branches.

Thawata afnan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٩
49

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ ۝٥٠
50

In both of them are two springs, flowing.

Feehima AAaynani tajriyan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥١
51

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ ۝٥٢
52

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

Feehima min kulli fakihatinzawjan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٣
53

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ ۝٥٤
54

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

Muttaki-eena AAala furushin bata-inuhamin istabraqin wajana aljannatayni dan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٥
55

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۝٥٦
56

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinnī -

Feehinna qasiratu attarfilam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٧
57

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ۝٥٨
58

As if they were rubies and coral.

Kaannahunna alyaqootu walmarjan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٩
59

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ ۝٦٠
60

Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

Hal jazao al-ihsani illaal-ihsan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦١
61

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ۝٦٢
62

And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

Wamin doonihima jannatan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٣
63

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ ۝٦٤
64

Dark green [in color].

Mudhammatan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٥
65

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ۝٦٦
66

In both of them are two springs, spouting.

Feehima AAaynani naddakhatan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٧
67

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ ۝٦٨
68

In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

Feehima fakihatun wanakhlunwarumman

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٩
69

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ ۝٧٠
70

In them are good and beautiful women -

Feehinna khayratun hisan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧١
71

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ ۝٧٢
72

Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

Hoorun maqsooratun feealkhiyam

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧٣
73

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۝٧٤
74

Untouched before them by man or jinnī -

Lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum walajan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧٥
75

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ ۝٧٦
76

Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

Muttaki-eena AAala rafrafin khudrinwaAAabqariyyin hisan

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧٧
77

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ۝٧٨
78

Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

Tabaraka ismu rabbika theealjalali wal-ikram

صَدَقَ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ
