Maa'rij is built on a simple commitment: the private parts of your worship stay private, and we never sell your data. Here is what that means in practice.
What stays on your device
These never leave your phone. We never receive them, so we could never share or sell them, even if we were asked to.
- What you enter into the inheritance & zakat calculators: your wealth, family details, assets
- Your location, used on-device for prayer times & Qibla
- Anything you write down in the app
- Your prayer records
What we hold
The minimum required to provide the service. We do not enrich this with third-party data.
- Your email address or sign-in identifier
- Your display name (if you set one)
- Your subscription status
- Non-sensitive preferences: bookmarks, reading progress, prayer method choice
What we never do
- Sell your data to anyone, ever
- Run advertising trackers or analytics that profile you
- Build a monetisable profile of your faith or behaviour
- Share your data with third parties except the service providers named below
Delete everything, anytime
You can delete your account and all data we hold at any time, directly from the app. The deletion is immediate and permanent.
No advertising, no profiling
Maa'rij has no advertising. There are no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no remarketing. We earn from subscriptions, not from your attention.
