Surah Al-Mu'minun · The Believers23:53

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ ۝٥٣

But they [i.e., the people] divided their religion among them into portions [i.e., sects] - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing.
